Our Story

My daughter started us on this adventure. She purchased Whiskey Briar Sam Colt, "Sammy," on a trip to Oregon. She wasn't expecting to come home with a puppy but couldn't pass him up. We couldn't have imagined how lucky both she and Sammy would be to have found each other. Sammy was an amazing dog, a retrieving machine and a loving companion to my daughter and granddaughter.
Sammy learned how to hunt by hunting and it came naturally to him...he would even collect the decoys at the end of the day. Sammy was such an all around amazing dog, we wanted to preserve his legacy and so it began.
We now have three generations of our dogs and two different lines, Sammy's and Annie's. Sammy's line is more English and Annie's line is more American. Our pups are a nice blend of both. We love raising puppies and strive for excellence in health, disposition and conformation in that order. We only breed health tested and OFA certified dogs with excellent dispositions. Our goal is a family dog that will excel in the field.
Sammy crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2021.
He is fondly remembered and terribly missed.
